Summary The Accounting Assistant will provide support to the accountants and other members of the finance team by performing various bookkeeping and general office tasks.
They must be willing to complete tasks with accuracy and timeliness.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.
1.
Assist with Accounts Payable.
2.
Assist with Accounts Receivable.
3.
Assist with preparation of various monthly reconciliations.
4.
Assist with audit preparations.
5.
Complete various data entry projects.
6.
Complete general office responsibilities such as scanning and organizing documents.
7.
Responsible for various mail handling including sorting mail and mass mailing projects.
8.

Education and/or Experience Requires a high school diploma and one to three years of related experience; or a combination of education and experience.
Language Skills Ability to read and interpret documents such as invoices, statements, and procedure manuals.

Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.

Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
