We are currently look for an experienced Sr.
Staff Accountant to join our team.
Accounting experience in the manufacturing environment is highly desired.
An idea candidate will have a strong desire to work collaboratively across multiple departments and will be comfortable presenting information as needed in group or individual settings.
Experience working in sage or other ERP systems is preferred.
Summary:
The Sr.
Staff Accountant is responsible for accurately recording the Company's financial transactions in a timely manner.
Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Financial Accountant applies generally accepted accounting principles and procedures to analyze financial information, prepare accurate and timely financial reports and statements and ensure appropriate accounting control procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
The Financial Accountant is responsible for a variety of advanced and general accounting functions:
oPrepare monthly bank reconciliations; follow up on any unusual items.
oPerform credit and collection activities.
oMaintain fixed asset records and compute depreciation.
oReconcile subsidiary ledgers to the general ledger monthly.
oAnalyze prepaid asset and accrued liability account balances.
oPrepare and file state sales tax returns.
oManage the month-end close process through coordination with the Cost Accountant, CFO and other accounting staff.
oPrepare monthly financial statements including the P&L and Balance Sheet comparing actuals to budget and prior year.
oAssist the CFO in preparing the annual budget by establishing schedules; collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data.
oResponsible for other duties and projects as assigned by the CFO.

Qualifications:
oBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business with an emphasis in Accounting is required.
o5 years demonstrated accounting experience.
Experience managing fixed asset record preferred.
Advanced Excel skills are required.
oExcellent analytical and reasoning skills, plus excellent organization skills required.
oMust be able to tactfully deal with conflict and confidential information.
oKnowledge of ERP and accounting systems; experience with Microsoft Office Suite required.
MAS 200 or SAGE 100 experience is highly desirable.
oExcellent verbal and written communication skills.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Good grammar and diction.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, percent and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
