Qualified candidates will have a minimum of two years of successful experience conducting discovery, depositions, oral arguments, mediations, arbitrations, hearings, and trials.
Only local candidates will be considered.
Skills and Responsibilities Manage the entire legal process from investigation/discovery through trial, including settlement negotiations as required.
Research all applicable laws and findings and develop appropriate legal strategies for all stages of litigation.
Review and assess medical records, depositions, and other documents.
Conduct Expert discovery.
Develop and render clear, unambiguous legal opinions and strategies, and draft legal documents including pleadings, motions and briefs.
Maintain ever-changing schedules and prioritize critical, important, and time-sensitive work.
Establish and maintain good relationships with claims representatives and insured clients.
Provide guidance and direction to paralegals or law clerks.
Qualifications JD from accredited law school and license to practice in the state of Wisconsin required.
Experience representing insurance companies.
