Summary:
Seeking a friendly, social, talkative, and smart individual to join our team as a Traveling Dental Anesthesia Assistant.
In this role, you will provide support to our dentist anesthesiologist in perioperative anesthesia care to patients across various pediatric dental and oral surgery offices.
Excellent social skills and friendliness are a must!
Responsibilities:
Assist anesthesiologists in preparing and administering anesthesia to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures.
Perform preoperative and postoperative patient assessments, and assist with patient recovery and discharge.
Be friendly and social with patients, parents, and other team members Prepare anesthesia equipment and supplies, ensuring everything is in proper working order and readily available for use.
Assist with patient positioning and transport to and from the operatory.
Provide support in airway management and emergency situations, including induction, intubation and recovery.
Maintain accurate documentation of anesthesia procedures, patient assessments, and medications administered.
Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure a smooth patient experience.
Adhere to practice policies, procedures, and safety protocols at all times.
Participate in ongoing education and training to stay updated on the latest developments in anesthesia safety, techniques and equipment.
Requirements:
We will provide on-the-job training.
Must enjoy working with pediatric and special needs patients.
Pleasant, fun and social personality is a must.
Willingness to drive to different locations across Southeastern Wisconsin.
Previous experience working in a clinical medical or dental setting preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations.
Basic life support (BLS), pediatric advanced life support (PALS), and advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) certifications preferred.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
